Groomsmen gifts that won't end up in a drawer: custom engraved grinders
Most groomsmen gifts are flasks and cufflinks: the same two things everyone got at the last five weddings. A custom grinder with each groomsman's name and inside joke engraved on the lid is a gift that gets used every day. Here's how it works, what it costs, and the wedding where we machined nine of them.

Why a grinder beats another flask
Every wedding party has a drawer of flasks nobody has ever opened. A grinder is different: if the recipient smokes, it's in their hand every day, and every time they pick it up they see their name and their joke. It's one of the few gifts that's personal and still gets used.
What we machined for one wedding
For one couple, we engraved nine grinders, a different design for every person in the wedding party. The groomsmen got the inside jokes: a dragon for Tater, a glasses-and-moustache portrait for Cake, a cartoon leaf for Splatm, a Deadpool engraving for Pac and a cannabis leaf for Gayrod. The bridesmaids got winged hearts for Princess and a leaf for Friends Forever. The Father of the Bride got his role in type with a leaf, and the couple's own grinder carried a four-leaf clover, their inside joke about the Doctor of Divinity.

Engraving ideas for groomsmen and bridesmaids
The best wedding-party engravings are personal and simple:
- A nickname or inside joke only the group gets
- The wedding date, city, or a private reference
- Each person's role: 'Groomsman', 'Bridesmaid', 'Father of the Bride'
- A shared symbol: their band, club, or running joke
- The couple's monogram for a matching set
What it costs
There's no minimum. A single grinder is a real order. A 2-part grinder starts at $50 for one, $39 each at 2, $25 at 5, $12.75 at 25, down to $6.75 at 1,000. A 4-part with a kief catcher starts at $75, $65 each at 2, $30 at 5, $18 at 25, down to $9.50 at 1,000. The free digital proof means you see the engraving before anything is machined, and every design gets its own proof, so each grinder can be completely different.
How to order a full wedding set
Upload each design in the customizer at /customize, get the proof for each one, approve, and GMI machines them. Order as many unique pieces as you need. An order of five groomsmen, two bridesmaids, and the Father of the Bride is standard for us, not a special case.
