What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. Written in plain language on purpose.

Who we are
GMI Custom Grinders operates this website and is the controller of the information described here. You can reach us about anything on this page at sales@gmigrinders.com.
What we collect
When you request a quote. Your name, email address, company name, phone number, the quantity and technique you are asking about, your message, and any artwork or logo file you attach. We also record which page you were on and, if you came through the customizer, the design you configured.
On an order. The items, quantities and prices in your order, the logo artwork supplied for it, your name and contact email, and a reference number we use to match your artwork to your payment. Payment card and account details are handled by PayPal, and we do not see or store your card number.
Just browsing. Standard technical information your browser sends, plus analytics and advertising data as described below. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site loads two third-party services that set cookies and similar identifiers:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google). It tells us which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which pages lead to an enquiry. Aggregated; we do not use it to identify you.
- Meta Pixel (Meta). It measures whether our advertising leads to visits and enquiries, and lets us show relevant advertising to people who have visited. Meta may combine this with your account there under its own policies.
PayPal is used only on the shop checkout, to process payment. It is not loaded on other pages.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google and Meta each provide their own advertising and analytics opt-outs. The site works normally with cookies blocked, though a few convenience features (such as a design you left in the customizer) will not be remembered between pages.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We use your details to answer your enquiry, quote and fulfil your order, and to keep the records a manufacturer is expected to keep. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful. Where consent is the basis, for advertising cookies in the regions that require it, you may withdraw it at any time by adjusting your browser settings.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the business: our email provider, the website host, Google, Meta and PayPal as described above. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or share customer lists. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders are kept while we might still quote you and then removed. Order records, including the artwork supplied for an order, are kept for as long as we need them for production, reprints and accounting. If you would like something removed sooner, ask and we will delete it unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
Email sales@gmigrinders.com and we will show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will reply rather than route you through a form. Unsubscribe instructions are honoured immediately.
Children
This site and its products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions about any of it are welcome at sales@gmigrinders.com.
