Anodizing

An electro-chemical process that grows a hard oxide layer on the aluminium surface and locks in dye. The result: color that won't chip, scratch, or fade from handling. GMI anodizes every grinder in black, gold, silver, or rose gold before engraving. The anodize is the base; the engraving finish sits inside it.
